Instructor Bio:
Sonia Halpern has received multiple teaching awards, and was recognized by the Maclean's Guide to Canadian Universities as one of Western University's most "popular profs". Sonia was born in Hamilton, Ontario. She completed her undergraduate studies at Western University and acquired a Master's Degree in Art History from Queen's University in Kinston. Since 1990, Sonia has taught Art History in various departments at Western and in its Centre for Continuing Studies. Among other books and articles, Sonia has authored the humorous poetry book The Life and Times of Transition Girl, Revised and Expanded (Bettger Books, 2014). She loves teaching enthusiastic adults who have a passion for learning!
