Come and explore the power of digital connectivity in shaping tomorrow’s smart hyperconnected world. Join Dr. Haque to hear how he is leveraging AI and next-generation communication technologies to tackle real-world problems. Watch demos, including hazardous space exploration/infrastructure inspection using autonomous drones; the world’s first Real-Time Kinematics (RTK)-assisted smart-parking; 5G-enabled zero client computing; and an intelligent App that never lets you lose your smartphone.

Education through immersion - The use of immersive technologies to foster engagement with STEM subjects

Hear about MarineXR, an augmented reality education app that uses ocean ecology and one of Canada’s ocean giants, the basking shark.  This technology teaches students fundamental scientific skills, while simultaneously emphasizing the importance of marine conservation, environmental sustainability, as well as key ecosystem functions and how they are affected by humans. Come “swim” with the sharks!
