Memorial Gift Opportunity: Champions Club Shortly after graduation, he followed his passion for Western athletes and became involved with Western football as Strength and Conditioning, and Special Teams coach. His experience led to a shared passion with Michael Kirkley to develop a mechanism to provide financial support for Western athletes which lead to the establishment of the Champions Club. This initiative started the foundation for all athletes at Western to benefit from structured fundraising and the Champions Club has raised over a million dollars since its inception. After the untimely passing of Michael, Jeff’s passion was fueled further and thanks to his commitment and persistent fund-raising, the Michael Kirkley Training Centre was established in 2006. Jeff then spearheaded the development of the Wall of Champions to acknowledge individuals and teams that have made a significant impact on Western Football. His contributions to Western athletics and Western football created a legacy that will benefit athletes for years to come. Although Jeff will be remembered as a true friend of Western, supporter of athletes and entrepreneur, his biggest passion was his family. He was an amazing father whose sense of humour, endless stories , selfless support and love for his four daughters and their families was unwavering. He will be forever missed and cherished by Sam (Joel, Evie, Rosie, Finn) , Sara (Chris, Ellie) , Allie (Mitchell) and Emma (Bentley the dog). Please contact Western Alumni if you require information in an alternate format, or have any other accessibility needs. |
