Betty Anne Younker Initiative

Betty Anne Younker will complete her final term as dean of the Don Wright Faculty of Music on July 31, 2021, after a decade of leadership at Western. As the first female dean for the Faculty, she has seen many achievements during her tenure, including building and renovating the new Music Building. To honour her legacy, we would like to establish a meaningful space in the Music Building. The “Betty Anne Younker” space will have prominence and visibility to students, faculty and staff, and also to thousands of alumni and community members who typically come to the Faculty for performances, events and community outreach programming.
